Tearing out a pool deck means demolition, hauling, forming, and a new pour, all right next to a pool you want to keep clean. Resurfacing skips those steps when the slab is sound.
Replacement is still the right call sometimes. A new surface will not fix a slab that has sunk or lifted. It will not fix a deck that drains toward the house either. We tell you when that is the case instead of quoting a job that will not last.

Cracks and imperfections
Cracks are the first thing we look at. RevaFlex flexes with the surface underneath instead of fracturing, so small cracks that are not moving are handled in prep.
A crack that is still opening, or a section that has shifted, is a different problem. That concrete needs repair before it gets a new surface, or the movement will keep going under it.
How a pool deck install runs
- Prep. The deck is cleaned and primed. Drains and fixtures get checked so the finished surface sits flush with them.
- Mix. Colored EPDM rubber granules are mixed on site with the resin binder.
- Trowel. The crew spreads the mix over the deck and trowels it smooth by hand.
- Details. Borders, patterns, or a logo go in during the cure window.
- Back in use. In most conditions the deck is usable in about 24 to 48 hours.

Sweep off loose debris and rinse the deck with a hose. When it needs a deeper cleaning, use mild soap.
