Concrete Slabs

Garage floors, shop slabs, shed pads, addition footprints. The unsexy concrete that has to take a beating for the next thirty years. Most residential slabs run 4 inches with mesh or rebar through the load areas, vapor barrier underneath where it matters, and a hard-troweled finish if you want a floor that stays easy to sweep. Heavier loads (lifts, trailers, equipment) get more thickness and more rebar, decided up front before the form goes in. Subgrade prep is the part nobody sees, and it's the part that decides whether the slab lasts.
